Gear | Video
The latter half of the 20th century saw the built environment merged with media space, and architecture taking on new roles related to branding, image and consumerism. Augmented reality may recontextualise the functions of consumerism and architecture, and change in the way in which we operate within it. By Keiichi Matsuda.

MiniGuru keyboard

MiniGuru keyboard

MiniGuru keyboard
Gear | Desktop
The MiniGuru keyboard has three layers of functions designed to keep your fingers on the home row.
"Meaning the index fingers resting on the F and J keys. Editing on a regular keyboard forces the right hand to constantly leave the home row for the cursor keys. Then find the home row again to continue typing. It takes time. And it’s not convenient.
The Miniguru puts the editing keys where they are in direct reach. On a second layer that is thumb-activated by the swirl keys. Fast and convenient. Only second layer keys are active when the swirl is pressed and there is a one key distance to the modifier keys and Enter.
Reaching for the mouse is another leave frome the home row. An integrated pointing stick helps with this. The buttons are at the front of the space bar, pushed with the tip of the thumb.

Real Time Canvas Clock

Real Time Canvas Clock
Home | Clock
At first glance this clock looks like a image! The Real Time Canvas Clock(€26) is a real 3D clock on a canvas frame, which has a clock mechanism built into it – it’s a 2D clock with a 3D mechanism.
"If you’re looking for a print, this modern monochromatic representation of the classic alarm clock on canvas adds minimalist style to any room. If you’re looking for a time piece, the Real Time Canvas Clock has a clock mechanism built into it – it’s a 2D clock with a 3D mechanism. So you get the best of both worlds, the look of art, as well as the time to admire it!
