Developed by Québécois inventor Yvon Martel, it's called the MTT-136. The idea itself is pretty simple: put an electric motor and battery pack inside an aluminum box powering a tread going around its circumference and throw a handlebar on one end. It weighs just 280 pounds, it can schlepp you along for anywhere from 28 to 130 miles on a charge time ranging from 15 minutes to 8 hours. Martel is currently looking for manufacturing partner.

A company called Tribod has developed a new face snorkel mask that lets the wearer breathe naturally through their nose and mouth.
"The first full-face snorkelling mask, for breathing underwater as easily and naturally as you would on land with your nose and mouth. Austrian designer Andreas Scheiger created this fun series of faux taxidermy heads using a bunch of salvaged bicycle seats and handlebars. The pieces can serve as fun art objects, or as functional hooks for holding bags, coats and even bike racks. You can see how he did it.
