Jason Barnes had wanted to be a professional drummer since he was a teenager. But when he lost his arm in a freak accident he thought his dream was over. Gil Weinberg designed a prosthetic for Barnes that lets him continue to play the drums as well as he could with two arms—and maybe even better than before. Because in addition to a small robot arm that lets Barnes accurately control a drumstick using the muscles in his upper arm, the prosthetic includes a second drumstick that plays along autonomously. It uses a microphone and accelerometer to detect Barnes' rhythm, and then automatically starts drumming along with a complementary rhythm of its own.
The video is Jason Barnes demonstrating his new robotic drumming prosthesis, developed by GTCMT's Robotic Musicianship Group.

Gender Swap is an experiment that users can feel themselves like if they were in a different body. Amazing!
"In order to create the brain ilusion we use the immersive Head Mounted Display Oculus Rift, and first-person cameras. To create this perception, both users have to synchronize their movements. If one does not correspond to the movement of the other, the embodiment experience does not work. It means that both users have to constantly agree on every movement they make. Through out this experiment, we aim to investigate issues like Gender Identity, Queer Theory, feminist technoscience, Intimacy and Mutual Respect. "
This is not a frame from a science fiction movie

This image seems like a spaceship arriving to another planet, but it just happened right here on Earth. It's an actual image from the successful Morpheus vehicle test completed today at the Kennedy Space Center's Shuttle Landing Facility. Watch the video of it in action, cool!

2 Men Are Living in This Spinning House for 10

Two men are spending 10 days living in a home with a difference: it’s a 25-foot wooden wheel. It is an art installation and performance piece by Ward Shelley and Alex Schweder. The two collaborate in a medium that they call "performance architecture."
"This new work, In Orbit, continues in this vein with the wheel-shaped house. All its furniture and accommodations are fixed along its circumference. To bring the users the things they require during the day, they must walk in tandem to rotate the giant wheel. The artists will live in the structure 24/7 from February 28 through March 9, 2014. From that date until April 5, 2014, the end of the exhibition, the structure will remain on view in the exhibition space as an installation"
