    Plogg-Blu
    Home  |  Appliance
Ever wanted to know how much electricity your other half's huge home entertainment system is consuming? The Plogg-Blu(about $130) uses an adapter that goes in the plug socket of the devices you want to measure, and wirelessly sends the data to your mobile and computer. To show how much cash and electricity you're burning, the Plogg-Blu wirelessly hooks up to any Bluetooth-equipped Windows PCs, Windows Mobile and Series 60 phones. Once the energy consumption data is on your computer, you check the charts on Plogg's supplied software and export the results to Excel. It is not cheap at the $130, but it is a good product that you can monitor your home's entire electricity.

    Matrix Unplugged Chair
    Home  |  Seating
The Matrix Unplugged Chair($35,000) by Artist/machinist Zoran Milivojevic. Made from the torpedo lifting jaws of a nuclear submarine, this complicated piece of engineering and design, for the rich guy and crazy folks. The best part is that it's the original unit from a never-used prototype, so you won't find any more of these anywhere. Motorized hydraulics adjust the chair position and there are lots of little tech adjusters to make it perfect for you. If you don't like the orange, you can also custom differents color or leather padding.
    Endoskeletons
    Home  |  Furniture
Endoskeletons is a system that applies the structural principal of a skeleton to the domestic environment. Rather than regard our homes as exoskeletons; containers for our lives, I place the components on an articulated structure and the space creates itself around it. Materials: wood, steel, upholstery. You can move the furnitures freely. Check out more the video showing Endoskeletons in action.

    Moooi - Clip Chair
    Home  |  Seating
The Moooi($1,139) designed by blasius osko and oliver deichman for moooi, the clip chair has a solid beech frame and folds flat. according to the designers: "Whilst strolling around a Bulgarian market, a small, foldable basket caught our attention. Single slats were beaded on ropes to form 2 hinged surfaces, which could be transformed into a curved 3 dimensional object. We improved this stunning mechanism, both technically and visually, to create a foldable lounge chair - the 'Clip Chair'. When open, it's straight identical slats form a spacious seating space of supreme comfort. This simple design not only makes the chair highly practical, but also creates a sculptural object of outstanding aesthetic value, whether folded or open." I love this design, but don't like its price.
    WAKE n BACON
    Home  |  Clock
A fun alarm - WAKE n' BACON by Matty Sallin, Daniel Bartolini, Hsiao-huh Hsu.
WHAT: An alarm clock that wakes you up with the smell and sizzle of cooking bacon.
WHY: No one likes to wake up, especially by an alarm. This clock gently wakes you up with the mouthwatering aroma of bacon, just like waking up on a Sunday morning to the smell of Mom cooking breakfast. Unless you're Jewish.
HOW: A frozen strip of bacon is placed in Wake n' Bacon the night before. Because there is a 10 minute cooking time, the clock is set to go off 10 minutes before the desired waking time. Once the alarm goes off, the clock it sends a signal to a small speaker to generate the alarm sound. We hacked the clock so that the signal is re-routed by a microchip that in responds by sending a signal to a relay that throws the switch to power two halogen lamps that slow-cook the bacon in about 10 minutes. if I don't like bacon, could I change to others?

    Vortex Fountain
    Home  |  Outdoor
The amazing water Vortex Fountain by William Pye is called Charybdis, which located in Seaham Hall, Sunderland(UK). It looks like a free-standing column of water with a spinning whirlpool in the center. It is a large acrylic polymer cylinder which allows an air-core vortex to form as water is pumped in a circular motion. A high level of water filtration is essential for maintaining transparency and thereby expressing the drama of the vortex. If you want one in front of your house?
    CASA de RETIRO ESPIRITUAL
    Home  |  Building
CASA de RETIRO ESPIRITUAL was designed by Emilio Ambasz in 1975. It localed at approximately 25 miles (40Km) north of Seville, Spain. The house is surrounded by the splendors of the Spanish countryside , perched on a low peak in the lush, green Sierra Morena mountains overlooking a man-made lake and a vast 1,000 Has estate where olive trees, evergreen oaks, and wild flowers grow and fighting bulls, horses and wild boar roam. Its rural setting provides a dramatic contrast to its stark ascetic look. "The design that first brought Emilio Ambasz to international attention as an architect is one of the most compelling architectural images of our time. Unforgettably, two tall white walls rise like sails from a green sea of grass. A steep cantilevered staircase climbs each of the walls to meet at the right-angled juncture of the two white sheets. This dual mirror like image soars mysteriously above a square sunken courtyard. Beyond this lies the house itself, waiting to be discovered, its alcove-like-rooms spread out amid serpentine skylights and openings." A crazy house! Watch the video, here.
