Mari0, Mario has been given a Portal gun, and he can navigate the levels by making good use of it. It’s available for Windows, OSX and Linux, and you control it using a mouse and the ASDW keys on your keyboard, while jumping is assigned to the spacebar. The game looks cool!
"A complete from scratch recreation of Super Mario Bros. with a focus on perfectly imitating the feel the 1985 classic gave us. Then give Mario a portal gun, add puzzle game mechanics from Portal and there you go. And if that wasn't crazy enough, play 4-player coop, with everyone having their own Portal gun!"

From the BBC: "Icy cold, pitch black and with crushing pressures — the deepest part of the ocean is one of the most hostile places on the planet. Only two explorers have made the epic journey there: 11km (seven miles) down to the bottom of the Pacific Ocean's Mariana Trench. As a new wave of explorers is gearing up to repeat this remarkable dive, take a look at the mysterious world that they will be plunging into."
"Scroll to see the ocean's deepest depths."

    USB Slingshot for Angry Birds
    Gear  |  Projects

To make Angry Birds a real sport, Mbed made a USB slingshot to play Angry Birds. The slingshot emulates a USB mouse, so it really is a plug 'n' play. It translates the physical use of the slingshot in to appropriate mouse controls. The way the controller works is reasonably simple: a stretch sensor translates the drawing of the slingshot to a mouse movement and an accelerometer determines the angle. Check out the video of it in action.
    WristMounted Finger Piano
    Gear  |  MusicKit
This Japan's wrist-Mounted finger piano from thinkgeek lets you do that by expressing your inner Elton John without having to carry around a huge keyboard. Each finger thingie plays a note when you press it on a hard surface. Add three more buttons/notes on top of the wrist unit.
"The Japanese Wrist-Mounted Finger Piano has three volume levels and three sound banks. It's the sound banks that really make this special. Sure you can play piano (sound 1) or bells (sound 2), but what sets the Japanese Wrist-Mounted Finger Piano apart from all other instruments (and makes it wonderfully Japanese) is sound 3: cat. That's right, you can play a full scale (and chords, thanks to the polyphonic nature of this instrument) of cat. "

Urban artist Tilt gave this room with dual personality(a split personality) at the Au Vieux Panier Hotel in Marseille, France. Called "Panic Room":
"The photos were taken by Big Addict (aka Roudet Benjamin) and convey an overwhelming feeling of duality. Half of the hotel room was painted in white, with a few framed canvases that seem to balance the graffiti side of the room. Painted over the walls, mirror, bed, ceiling and floors, vividly colored bombs, tags and throw-ups stop right in the middle of the room, where the boring, white half begins."

It took more than 200 astronauts from 12 countries more than a dozen years to build the International Space Station (ISS). Satoshi Furukawa, an astronaut from Japan, matched that feat in just about two hours — and he did it all while aboard the orbiting outpost itself.

Looking at the different ways to shoot videos. Instead of making a normal movie, I am trying to get a colour gradient of what the camera is shooting. There is no postproduction involved, the effect is achieved by connecting the lens of the camera to a drilling machine. The video is taking 15 frames per second, whereas the drill is spinning at more than 20 turn per second.

Flying robot quadrotors perform the James Bond Theme by playing various instruments including the keyboard, drums and maracas, a cymbal, and the debut of an adapted guitar built from a couch frame. Check out the video!
The quadrotors play this "couch guitar" by flying over guitar strings stretched across a couch frame; plucking the strings with a stiff wire attached to the base of the quadrotor. A special microphone attached to the frame records the notes made by the "couch guitar". These flying quadrotors are completely autonomous, meaning humans are not controlling them; rather they are controlled by a computer programed with instructions to play the instruments.

"The AIRE mask is a concept that hails from the mind of Joao Paulo Lammoglia, where it will rely on the power of your breath, converting it to electricity thanks to tiny wind turbines. All you need to do is ensure the AIRE mask remains connected to an iOS-powered device, breathe as usual, and you are good to go."
