Mad Max Doof Warrior Inspired Flamethrower
    Gear  |  Projects

"The inspiration for this project was the Doof Warrior’s flamethrower guitar from Mad Max. Nothing says rock-n-roll more than actual fire entwined with your tunes! This guy was completely ridiculously over the top and I loved it! The the entire movie he only cared about one thing, playing his music and spraying his fire. Even when people were having fist fights literally on top of him, he just wanted his guitar back.  "

    A Swim Cap for Beards
    Gear  |  Sport
Virgin Trains, a British railroad company, invent a device to protect the beards of swimmers.  The beard cap is a Lycra swim cap that includes a wrap for beards and mustaches. The innovative swim cap, made from Lycra, wraps under the chin and packs the wearer’s beard against their face to decrease drag whilst swimming. Reusable and adjustable, the unique prototype has been designed to keep bushy beards under control.
"Virgin Trains, the official train partner to the Great North Swim, commissioned research after reading debates on swimming forums about beards causing drag. The findings revealed that 12 percent of men connect their beard to slower swim times and nearly a quarter feel their beards hinder their sports performance. Sporting men reported the reasons for this, with 11 percent saying their beard is irritating, 32 percent claiming it is a source of discomfort, and 42 percent saying they find it distracting.  "

Star Wars Han Solo Frozen in Carbonite Fridge
    Gear  |  Film
A Han Solo fridge from Thinkgeek.
"The Han Solo Fridge really is big: it can hold up to 18 cans of soda. It’s also one of those neato fridges that cools or heats its contents (depending on which temperature you need). And though the Han Solo Fridge be mighty, it’s still made to travel. It’s even got a handle on top for grabbing, which, let us tell you, is more convenient than carrying a huge block of flippin’ carbonite. Whether it’s blue milk or leftover bantha burgers, the Han Solo Fridge is ready for all your late-night bounty hunting. And by “bounty” we mean “snack.”"

Where are all the aliens? The universe is too big and too old, why have we not met aliens yet? Do they live in computers? Were they wiped out by an ancient super intelligence? Or are we just to primitive to understand their motives? Whatever the answer is, it is incredibly important for our own future.
    A SelfBuilt Treehouse
    Gear  |  Projects

Professional nomad Foster Huntington is creating  a building treehouse project in Skamania County, Washington in the Columbia River Gorge. Their primary endeavor was a multi-platform tree house, but also included a skate bowl and a wood fired soaking tub as well. The Cinder Cone is Foster Huntington’s short film that documents this year-long process of building his dream home with this community of tight knit friends. Throughout the process, Huntington documented the construction in thousands of photos and sketches, which will be released as a part-instructional book on Kickstarter.
"My name is Foster Huntington, you may have seen my projects The Burning House, the vanlife #tag or the photobook Home Is Where You Park it. Last spring, I started working on a treehouse and skate bowl in the Columbia Gorge with a group of friends. Inspired by the people and places I’d seen during my time on the road as well as childhood dream of building a Treehouse, we started planning in February.  After months of preparation, we started building in June and kept going through fall and into the winter. Friends old and new stopped by to work and stay on the property. Some of us worked as carpenters professionally, others learned on the go. Over the course of build, I took thousands of photos and kept sketches, models and notes from the design process.   "

"So maybe we spoil our goat kids a little in the 8 weeks before they go to their new homes as pets and future milking goats. But, who doesn't want to spend a cold rainy day inside in Pajamas? Winifred and Monty who are 3 week old Nigerian Dwarf Goat siblings think it's a great idea to stay inside the barn and play! The only thing cuter than goat kids is baby goats in pajamas! Goats have zero interest in letting even one rain drop touch their heads, so these little ones enjoyed their time out, but decided to stay inside the barn! I'm pretty sure they both actually shook their head, NO! when they looked outside at the rain! Stay warm everyone! Summer is coming! "

Outties, a pair of jeans inspired by the filmBack to the Future Part II, is funding on Kickstarter .
"Background: Marty and Doc travel Back to the Future and arrive less than five months from now on October 21st 2015. Somewhere between self-lacing shoes and hoverboards, Doc tells Marty to “pull out his pants pockets” because “in the future all the kids wear their pants inside out”.
“Why is nobody making inside out pants?” inventor Ross O’Mullane asked himself while watching Back to the Future part II over the Christmas holidays. “It started as a joke” confesses the inventor “then I started researching it, and when I realised nobody was doing it, I started working on a design.” It took five months for Ross to bring the idea from brain wave to final prototype
