Animal Sculptures Created From Shattered CDs

Australian artist Sean Avery created these animal sculptures that uses old CDs. He chops up the discs and turns them into whimsical animal sculptures. Some of his pieces use circuit boards, chips, and other recycled computer parts. Avery states, "I blend many different man made materials together to make them appear strangely organic, with a distinct sense of movement."

A Cathedral Made from 55,000 LED Lights

A glowing cathedral like structure — dubbed the Luminarie De Cagna, was display at the 2012 Light Festival in Ghent, Belgium. "Soaring above the street at 91 feet high and using 55,000 LEDs to light up the night sky. The canopies and columns are created out of wood and the lights, and despite the jaw dropping light and color, the whole shebang only uses 20 kilowatts per hour of energy." Cool

Flying People in New York City

To market the soon-to-be-released coming of age superpowers story Chronicle, Fox hired viral marketing agency Thinkmodo to deliver a campaign. Three human shaped RC planes were flown around New York City, Lots of fun.
"Since the three main characters of the movie have the ability to fly, we came up with the idea of staging a few "flying people" sightings around NYC. We achieved that illusion by having 3 custom-made aircraft (which were shaped like human beings) fly above designated areas in NYC and NJ."
