"These are carved from Sugar-pie pumpkins and mounted on black dowels on a black board. The "pellets" are small gourds turned on their sides. The cherries are crab-apples and I used some 18 guage wire for the cherry stem. The pumpkins were air-brushed with florescent paints to make them glow under black light and give that video game raster glow feel to the whole thing. "

Man built a First-Class Pan Am Cabin in His Garage

Anthony Toth has built a vintage Pan Am first-class cabin in his garage. The setup includes almost everything fliers in the late 1970s and 1980s would have found onboard: pairs of red-and-blue reclining seats, original overhead luggage bins and a curved, red-carpeted staircase. 
Mr. Toth, a 42-year-old global sales director at United Airlines, has spent more than 20 years on his elaborate recreation of a Pan Am cabin, which includes a few economy-class seats, too. All told, Mr. Toth estimates he has spent as much as $50,000 on the project, which he hopes someday to turn into a museum...

The gigantic marionettes in Berlin! To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, a several-day performance by France¡¯s Royal de Luxe street theatre company, titled ¡°The Berlin Reunion¡±.
"the Reunion show featured two massive marionettes, the Big Giant, a deep-sea diver, and his niece, the Little Giantess. The storyline of the performance has the two separated by a wall, thrown up by ¡°land and sea monsters¡±. The Big Giant has just returned from a long and difficult ¨C but successful ¨C expedition to destroy the wall, and now the two are walking the streets of Berlin, seeking each other after many years apart."

A full-sized LEGO house is bulding in the UK. By James May, a toy fanatic from the UK, he is builting a real two-storey building, it will make from 816 million Lego bricks. And when the house is finished, James May vowed to live in it!
"This two-story Lego palace, which resides in the middle of a vineyard, sports a working bathroom, and is covered inside and out with bricks pieced together by 272 Legos. Over three million bricks were used to build the Lego pad, so doing some quick math here - that's over 816 million Lego pieces!"
He said: "I'm planning to stay there for two or three days, or until it falls down - whichever is sooner. I'm pretty relaxed about it, but will just have to be careful moving around.
"If I wake up buried under a pile of bricks I'll know it's gone wrong."
