The Liquid Display - A Physical Interactive Installation

A machine that make the air bubbles in the water! It driven by an Arduino processor and by a water keyboard! The Liquid Display is the technological concept for an ambient display based on a liquid and uprising air bubbles. In the version shown here, the user can iterate the size, rhythm and number of bubbles in the display.
The interface is built of three water filled tanks. The user must only tip on the water surface to interact with the display.
The Liquid Display was built as the bachelor diploma project of Nicolas B¨¹chi at the Interaction Design Institute at the Z¨¹rcher Hochschule der K¨¹nste.

Lego Sport City for 2008 Beijing Olympic

The 2008 Beijing Olympic Games is coming! If you're lucky one in How Kong, you can see this LEGO Sport City at the Grand Century Place until August 31, 2008. The whole lego sport city includes the famous Bird's Nest, Swimming Cube and Olympic Village. The Mechanical Wooden Elephant

If you are lucky ones in Brittany. You have to go to Nantes. When you go downtown, near the river Loire, there is a very particular island in which dwell many stange creatures, half steel, half wood. The Machines de l'Ile is an artistic project situated in the former warehouses of the Nantes shipyard. This Mechanical Wooden Elephant looks fun! It will open every day 10am - 8pm until 31 August. How many people would want to be buried in a coffin made to resemble an iPhone? Creative Coffins is a company which designs and produces custom coffins. What about Halo 3's Master Chief, to a GTA IV-inspired design, Microsoft Vista, Apple, Super Nintendo....These coffins aren't "officially" listed as "products" from the Creative Coffins crew. The MoonBaseTwo designed by Architects and Vision, which is a semi-permanent moon base which allows up to 4 astronauts to live there for 6 months. MoonBaseTwo is designed to be transported by the Ares V rocket. The base automatically deploys after landing and ready to accommodate astronauts. Robotic Sculptures By Ann P Smith

We have seen Lisa Black's teampunk taxidermys. Designer Ann P Smith created these robotic animal sculptur, from broken electronics and machine parts. The sculptures are sold in stores and galleries throughout the US and have been published as illustrations in magazines and brochures. Light Sculptures - Sitooterie II

The Sitooterie II is a cube punctured by over 5000 long thin windows that project from all its surfaces and lift it off the ground. As the long thin windows all point at the exact centre of the cube, it only takes a single light source, located at this central point, to send light through every tube, causing the windows to glow orange. UFO Project by Peter Coffin

GDANSK, POLAND - JULY 4 2008: A UFO has been spotted over the historic town of Gdansk, Poland, on July 4 2008. The UFO Project is an art project by artist Peter Coffin and has been realised by Cinimod Studio. " The overall UFO structure is 7 metres in diameter and manufactured of aluminium for lightness. 3000 bright and individually controllable Color Kinetics LED nodes have been arrayed across the structure and are controlled via a solid state computer. An onboard 6 kw generator provides the system power, and the overall UFO can be remotely controllable via SMS messaging.
