I love this BrickGun GLOCK 17 model, it looks like a gun made up of Lego bricks. Like all the BrickGun models, the GLOCK 17 is 1:1 scale, fitting in your hand just like an actual pistol. It incorportes many of the design details of the real GLOCK so that it looks and feels as authentic as we believe you can get with Lego. The BrickGun GLOCK 17($TBD) captures the style and function of the real GLOCK to a tee. Pull the slide back and the internal striker is cocked. Pull the trigger and the striker falls with a sharp "click". The slide can also be locked open, just like a real GLOCK when the magazine has been emptied. Flip the lock down with your thumb and the slide slams shut, ready to "fire" again.

Because the document is printed from a central point the number of steps by points send to the pan & tilt, which is moved by two stepper motors, one for each axe horizontal and vertical, determine the space between each point.

A very cool radio, I called it lego radio. Olinda is a prototype digital radio that has your social network built in, showing you the stations your friends are listening to. It's customisable with modular hardware, and aims to provoke discussion on the future and design of radios for the home. Six lights on Olinda show when a close friend is listening to the radio, using wifi and Radio Pop, the BBC's website for sharing 'now playing' information. Each light is a button: you can tune in to listen along with them, discovering new stations via your social network. A friend will always appear at the same light, so you can write or draw on the radio to label it, and the lights are bright so you'll know a friend has started listening from across the room. Commissioned by BBC Audio & Music Interactive R&D. Designed and built by Schulze & Webb.

The Stelarc is renowned for his augmented body art forms. He has built a giant spider like walking frame. A six-legged, pneumatically powered walking machine has been constructed for the body. The locomotor, with either ripple or tripod gait, moves fowards, backwards, sideways and turns on the spot. It can also squat and lift by splaying or contracting its legs. The body is positioned on a turn-table, enabling it to rotate about its axis. It has an exoskeleton on its upper body and arms... see the video. A weird idea!

The Audeo has unveiled a new system which could regenerate voice by analyzing your brainwave. So you do not have to open your mouth to speak. The brain waves and signals are captured by this device and then assembled close to the user's vocal chord, which on the effort to speak is transmitted across to the voice box - the neurological signals or the information then travels to the nearby computer for interpretation and finally results in a face-to-face interaction or communication over the phone. It say that the Audeo will enable voiceless communication either face-to-face or via phone. The Audeo is set for release in the end of 2008. This tech has aslo been tested to wirelessly control an electric wheelchair. Jump to more see the video of this new tech.
