HTC unveiled their new flagship Android smartphone, the HTC One. With a sleek aluminum body, the phone features a 4.7 inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and 468ppi, a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor with a clock speed of 1.7GHz, 2GB of RAM and a choice of either 32GB or 64GB of built in storage. And it also included HTC’s new Ultrapixel camera with a dedicated HTC Image Chip2, dual front-facing speakers, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and 4G LTE. The HTC One measures 137.4 x 68.2 x 9.3mm/4mm (max/min)  and weighs in at 143 grams.

BlackBerry (formerly RIM) has just unveiled the BlackBerry Q10 device. The Q10 is everything you love about the classic BlackBerry form factor, running the new BlackBerry 10 operating system. The phone has a 3.1-inch 720x720 AMOLED touchscreen, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM and and 4G LTE connectivity. Although it was announced alongside the flagship, fully touchscreen BlackBerry Z10 the Q10 won't go on sale at the same time. The Q10 to reach the US sometime in April.

The BlackBerry Z10

The BlackBerry's new flagship smartphone. The BlackBerry Z10($200) uses the BlackBerry 10 operating system. The new OS has no navigation buttons, you'll operate the Z10 through gestures. The phone stands 5.1 inches tall, 2.6 inches wide, and 0.35 inch thick, only slightly deeper than the iPhone5. It features 2-megapixel front and 8-megapixel rear cameras, dual-core 1.5 GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD slot and a 1,280 x 768, 4.2-inch LCD display. In between the BlackBerry Z10's volume buttons is the voice control key, you can also use to pause music.
The BlackBerry Z10 goes on sale January 31 in the U.K., February 5 in Canada ($149.99 on contract), and February 10 in the UAE. Expect U.S. carriers to sell the smartphone for about $199 on contract (about $599 unlocked) in March. Verizon was the first to officially announce that it will carry the white and black versions of the Z10 for $199 on contract. Verizon has the exclusive lock on the white version.

41MP Nokia 808 PureView smartphone

Nokia has announced the 808 PureView, a phone that incorporates a 41-megapixel camera the Nokia 808 PureView.(Yes, 41MP!!) as well as Carl Zeiss optics, and something the company calls "pixel oversampling technology." Pixel oversampling technology is "the ability to zoom without loss of clarity and capture seven pixels of information, condensing into one pixel for the sharpest images imaginable," It runs Nokia Belle OS (formerly called Symbian). The Nokia 808 PureView has specs that include a 4-inch ClearBlack AMOLED display, 1.3GHz processor, 16GB of internal storage (with microSD expansion up to 32GB) and a battery life of 6.5 talk time hours over 3G. It shoots 1080p HD video at 30 frames per second and digital zoom that can go as high as 6X in 720p recording.

Sony Announces the Xperia P and Xperia U

Sony announced two new additions to the Xperia NXT series, the Xperia P and Xperia U. The P and U join the S, which was announced at CES earlier this year. All three phones incorporate the Xperia user interface and have access to the Sony Entertainment Network. The phones are all PlayStation Certified for gaming and have the translucent bar for notifications.
Xperia P: The P is a step down spec-wise when compared to the Xperia S. It has a 4.0-inch Reality Display with Sony's BRAVIA Engine and WhiteMagic, a new display technology for an ultra-bright and power efficient viewing experience. It also has a 1GHz dual-core processor, 16GB of storage, 8-megapixel camera with HD video recording, NFC (near field Communications).
Xperia U: The Xperia U is a lower spec phone for lower price points. It has a 3.5-inch Reality Display with BRAVIA Engine, 1GHz dual-core processor, and 5-megapixel camera HD video recording. It also has "xLoud" stereo sound.
The phones launch with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but will be updated to Android 4.0 during the second quarter.
