Sony NEX-3 and NEX-5

Today Sony has announced the Sony Nex-5 and Nex-3 Camera. Sony says that they are the “world’s smallest, lightest interchangeable lens cameras.” They feature a Sony's 14 megapixels Exmor APS-C sized sensor, and Sony’s E-mount lens system which is compatible with DSLR lenses with the use of an optional mount adapter. 
The NEX-3 has 720p video and the NEX-5 1080i. The NEX-5 has a smaller, magnesium body, and an extra twist-button on the top plate. Otherwise, the specs are the same.
Available this summer. NX-3 $550 with pancake, $600 with 18-55mm zoom. NX-5 $650 with pancake, $700 with zoom.

DIY DSLR Wooden Shoulder Rig

A wooden shoulder rig for a DSLR videographer. Two handlebars, one can change the focus.
Designed by Swedish videographer Jonathan Bergqvist and his father Erik, the rig itself is made out of birch and includes a manual focus puller, actuated by twisting the left handle, that is hacked together from R/C control rod parts and a hose clamp.

The top part of his body is actually a working 110 camera, while the big "SLR" lens is a fake.

Brothers Will and Matthew Burrad-Lucas ended up with an all terrain camera that could use to capture images of some of the world’s more dangerous wildlife like elephants and tigers.

Sony has revealed concept model of the new compact α (alpha) DSLR camera system that employs an Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor, which provides full AVCHD video capability.
New concept α products being shown include an ultra compact model with interchangeable lenses, additions to the α family (including a successor to the α700), along with new TX5 and H55 Cyber-shot® cameras, new printers and other accessories.

Canon EOS Rebel T2i

Canon has officially announced their new 'cheap' DSLR, the EOS Rebel T2i. Featuring an 18 megapixel CMOS sensor, it can capture 18.7 megapixel stills at 3.7 fps and the ability to record Full HD video at up to 30 fps, along with 720p at 50 / 60 fps. Other features a 3 inch LCD display, an expanded ISO range of 100 to 6400, a 9-point AF, and  the 1080p video shooting at 30 / 25 / 24 fps. The Canon EOS Rebel T2i will hit retail in March for $800, with a EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens kit at $900.

Panasonic Lumix GF1

Panasonic has joined Olympus in offering a interchangeable-lens camera with the third Micro Four Thirds sensor. Compared the Olympus E-P1, they are very similar: Same 12.1 MP sensor, same 720p video and HDMI-out and same $900 kit price. But the main differences between this and the Olympus EP-1, a pop-up flash (Lumix GF1 with, the E-P1 has none, the E-P1's flash is a $200 attachment). The Lumix GF1($900) features include a 3" LCD with 460k dots(no optical viewfinder), image stabilization, face detection and HD video recording in 1280 x 720 and ISO of up to 3200. It includes a Lumix G 20mm f/1.7 aspherical lens. The GF1 will be available in October for $900.
