Bikers Revenge by Matt Braun and Jared Delorenzo, two students at University of the Arts in Philadelphia. For the 'bad cyclist'' or just keep your enemy's car away from you!
"These modified handlebar plugs speak to the disgruntled urban cyclist. By retro-fitting stock parts with up-cycled keys, bikers can now find satisfaction with close encounters. This concept puts a new twist on the timeless tradition of car-keying revenge."

Wow, a 15-person bike! Called the Busycle, this bicycle behemoth moves under the power of 28 human legs, plus a driver. And while it can only go about 4 miles per hour. Boston-based artists Heather Clark and Matthew Mazzotta had an idea and a lot of energy to see what they could accomplish. Starting with a $1,000 grant from the Berwick Research Institute in Roxbury... "The Busycle, a 15 person 100% pedal powered bus, runs solely on the energy of its passengers. Although driven by a Busycle driver, all passengers are required to pull their weight and pedal in their seats. The Busycle requires individuals to use their own will and physical strength to come together as a group to go from point A to B. By bringing the intersection of art and activism to the street, the Busycle asks the public to participate in a small movement."

Trek Bicycle realsed two models that are chainless, they use a belt drive instead of a chain most often found in things like motorcycles and snowmobiles. While some smaller custom bike makers have used them before, Trek is the first to use the technology for mass-produced bicycles. The lighter and longer-lasting carbon-fiber composite belts won't rust, can't be cut, won't stretch or slip and won't leave grease marks around your ankles. And the new belts are a low-maintenance solution to a chain, which has roughly 3,000 parts including all the links and connectors. Trek's chainless bike, called the District($930) is a single-speed, complete with a silver body, orange accents and brown leather seat and handles. The other, called the Soho ($990), is an eight-speed bike that uses an internal hub to adjust the speed rather than gears.

Is it a motorcycle or a souped-up bike? The eROCKIT's inventors call it the human-hybrid machine. The cyclist's pedaling motions assist the motor, which multiplies the rider's effort by a factor of 50, the company says. The faster you pedal, the faster you go. Wow, a weird bike! It uses a nano-phosphate lithium battery, which it expects to last for 10 years or 50,000 kilometers of use. It likes a mini motorcycle, can reach up to 50 miles per hour. A full charge should run for 60 to 80 kilometers, depending on driving or pedaling style. It weighs about 100 kilos (225 pounds). Unfortunately RockiT plans to build just 10 machines in 2009 for $44,000 price tag!! Check out see more pics.

It is the Lew Racing Pro VT-1 eight-spoke carbon-fiber front wheel(most wheels have 16 spokes). "The lightest, most expensive wheel on the planet, it's not a plaything for the light of wallet or heavy of build, said Craig Staley, the general manager of Mellow Johnny's, a bike shop founded by Lance Armstrong in Austin, Tex. With its eight skinny spokes -half as many as in most super-lightweight wheels - "it's not really meant for anyone over about 165 pounds," he said. Each, custom-order only, here. [ link ]
