The Shweeb - Pedal-Powered Monorail

Array
Car  |  Transportation
The Shweeb is a Pedal-Powered Monorail system that is "a direct response to the transportation needs of today and the future." Each capsule holds a single rider who has to pedal in order to get from point A to point B and let you go much faster than a bicycle. The seat adjusts to your exact height and is as comfortable as a hammock. It exists right now, you can find it at an amusement park in New Zealand(Feel the adrenalin kick in as you fly around curves swinging out 60 degrees! You soar 4m above the pond and then miss the ground by inches!).
"Our proposal to get you safely and quickly from one point in the city to another would be to elevate you onto a network of interconnected monorails where you never have to stop at traffic lights. The ideal vehicle for such a system already exists. Fully faired recumbent cycles, because of their low aerodynamic resistance, are breaking all bicycle speed records and currently reaching speeds of 90 kph (56 mph) in sprints. Suspending these comfortable and highly efficient machines from monorail tracks has the added advantage of taking away the rolling resistance of pneumatic tyres. Trains of Shweebs can further reduce the aero drag ¨C ten people travelling at 40 kph will each have a lot less work to do than a single rider at the same speed. A single rider requires only a fraction of the energy to achieve the same speed as a normal cyclist ¨C thanks to the significant reductions in both aero drag and tire friction. The vehicle is completely weatherproof, you can¡¯t derail or fall out while on the cellphone or blackberry!" Check out watch the video of it in action.

Personal Submarine - Deep Flight Super Falcon

Array
Car  |  Transportation
A deep flight personal submarine built for Tom Perkins' Maltese Falcon yacht. This submarine named "deep flight". It's a submersible with a pair of wings that can "fly" underwater. The sub does not have ballast tanks, but dives because of its forward speed---like a penguin does when it hunts. It more like a fighter jet, with thin body, two wings, two seats and two tail fins.
"The sub will have an operating depth of 400 feet, a speed of 5 knots and an underwater time of roughly 4 hours on a single battery charge. Like the airplane it will do rolls, loops and can "porpoise" when it surfaces (the speed in a power ascent can exceed 10 knots)."
Its first client is for the Super Falcon was venture capitalist Tom Perkins, who wanted a toy to keep on his mega-yacht, the Maltese Falcon. The base price: $1.3 million. Expensive? They are also available in another model, which has open cockpits and cannot dive as deep as the Super Falcon, sells for $350,000. Watch the flying sub in atcion.

Car  |  Transportation
An airplane to park on the stern of your superyacht! Danish Yacht is a modern superyacht shipyard located in Skagen in Denmark. Danish Yacht has announced its partnership with Lisa Airplanes to offer "a unique resource to the global superyacht community". The Akoya aircraft is a two-seat aircraft with folding wings on the back of Danish Yacht. The aircraft is designed to take off from land, snow or water. The aircraft features includes retractable wheels, retractable skis to enable you the freedom of landing in your properties. Now Lisa airplanes have started taking orders for it with an initial deposit of 10,000 euros.
¡°The AKOYA also uses another patented innovation from LISA Airplanes. The combination of two hydrofoils in the shape of an inverted V and retractable landing-gear make for performance over and above classic water ¡¯planes. The hydrofoils, combined with the high lift of the Ri&Flex Wing, lift the fuselage out of the water at very low speed and dispense with the need for a step or fairing. This allows the ¡¯plane to accelerate and take-off over short distances. This system of hydrofoils enables the fuselage to be very aerodynamic making the AKOYA the first ¡¯plane to be both agile in water and fast in the air.¡±Check out see the Lisa Airplane video.

It was developed for recreational use in various environments around the globe, created mainly for rental agencies and for outdoor enthusiasts. For camping, a screen cloth is mounted between the outriggers to serve as base for the tent and as camp bed. This ensures a comfortable sleep even on rough ground that would usually be unsuitable for camping
The boat is made of natural fibre composite materials, which are lighter and cheaper than fibreglass and with the right resin can even be biodegradable, when reduced to small pieces.
