Ferrari launched the California GT back in 2008 at the Paris Auto Show, but for the 2012 model year, the California will get some special treatment in the form of a big update. The model will be about 66 lbs lighter and will deliver an additional 30 HP. The new 2012 Ferrari California powered by the same 4.3 liter V8 engine, now up to 490 hp, from 0 to 60 mph in 3.85 seconds (down from 4.0 seconds). Both the exterior and interior will also be improved.

Jaguar is unveiling the C-X16 coupe concept, a compact, rear-wheel drive, two-seater. Powered by a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 putting out 376 horsepower, 332 pound-feet of torque, and an eight-speed gearbox. Hybrid system controlled by a steering-wheel mounted 'Push to Pass' button boosts output another 94 hp. A top speed of 186 mph, 0-62 mph in 4.4 seconds and 50-75 mph acceleration in 2.1 seconds with CO2 emissions of 165 g/km.

Ferrari 458 Spider

The new 2012 Ferrari 458. It is world's first mid-rear engined berlinetta and equipped with a retractable hardtop(Check out the video). The car's retracting back-panel mechanism is similar to the one on the Superamerica, but more streamlined in design, and it hides under a double-hump rear deck when stowed (the Superamerica’s roof laid itself on top of the rear deck). The roof can fold itself down into a space ahead of the engine bay in 14 seconds, and the independently operable rear window doubles as a wind blocker. Powered by a 4.5-liter direct-injection V8, 570 hp engine. Top speed is about 198 mph, with a 0-62 time of 3.4 seconds.

The latest limited-edition 911, the 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0. It packs a 4.0-liter flat-six derived from the 911 GT3 RSR racer, complete with forged pistons, titanium connecting rods and a crankshaft pulled directly from its track-bred descendent. with 500 horsepower, from 0-60mph in just 3.9 seconds, crack 124 mph in less than 12 seconds and top out at 193 mph. The price is $185,000, and only 600 will be produced when sales begin later this year.

SSC Ultimate Aero II,  the Worlds Fastest Production Car

SSC Ultimate Aero II, the new Ultimate Aero is powered by a 6.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8(with 1,350 horses), can reach a top speed of 275 mph. It aims to recapture the production car speed record that took away from Bugatti's Veyron. Its wheels are the world's first one-piece carbon-fiber units and tip the scale at just under 13 pounds. The car weighs about 2,600 pounds. There's carbon-fiber all over the Ultimate Aero II, with the exception of some aluminum bracing for added safety in the event of a crash. Shelby SuperCars expected to sell it next year for $970,000.

The F430's successor, called Ferrari 458 Italia, it will be launched in Frankfurt next month. Maranello has finally revealed the mid-engined V8 replacement for the Ferrari F430. The Ferrari 458 Italia powered by a 4.5-liter V8 and and 540 nm of torque which which uses about 13.7 liters of fuel per 100 KM. Thanks to its aluminum structure, it weights at just 3,042 pounds. Acceleration to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes just 3.4 seconds and a maximum speed in excess of 325 km/h.
"No word yet on pricing, but it will replace the F430, which has a base price of around $188,000.

Luso Motors is a portuguese car design and development house which has brought us a lightweight sports car - LM 23. This design inspired from the Lotus 23b. The Luso Motors 23 is powered by a 150-horsepower 1.0-litre Honda CBR1000 engine, is mated to a six-speed sequential transmission. According to LusoMotors founder Ernesto Freitas says customers can choose a number of different engines, including a Subaru turbo boxer. This sport car features a steel tube frame chassis, double skin aluminium alloy sheets, riveted and glued with inner foam reinforcements, the outerskin is made out of fibreglass and carbon fibre components.
