sQuba

Back in 1977, James Bond took a Lotus Esprit for a swim in The Spy Who Loved Me. The Swiss design Rinspeed created the sQuba($1.4 million) based on the Lotus Elise. It is first submersible convertible car. It features you can dive underwater to a depth of over 30 feet. The car's engine was removed and replaced by three motors ¡ª one for land driving, good for up to 75 mph, and two others for the underwater propellers. Power is supplied by rechargeable Lithium-Ion batteries. You can check the sQuba out in person at the Geneva Motor Show next month.

MCE MC1 Supercar

The MCE MC1 is the creation of MotorCity, a design firm based in Germany, and C2P Automotive. Powered by a 600hp V10 engine, the MCE MC1 is shorter and narrower than the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 and is 15mm higher. MotorCity is calling the supercar a "production concept" which sites on 20-inches in the front and 21-in rear, carbon fiber, scissor doors and twin central exhausts. There is no word whether the car will be producted since both companies need funding to get this baby on the road.

Jeep Renegade Concept

Jeep show its new Renegade concept at the Detroit auto show this week. It designed for "hang on and have fun experience" said by principal designer Tony Shamenkov. Renegade with lightweight aluminum architecture and electric motors. This two-seater SUV powered by two electric motors one on each axle - delivering all wheel driver. Each motor is a 200 kW (268 hp) electric motor with a 40 mile range that's powered by lithium ion batteries. Driving range is extended by a 1.5L, 3-cylinder Bluetec diesel "range-extender" engine. It has a 400 mile range, and is capable is achieving an equivalent gasoline fuel economy rating of 110 miles per gallon. Pics jump more.

HUMMER HX Concept

The Detroit auto show this month to reveal the HUMMER HX concept, the final name of production vehicle remains a mystery. At fist glance, the HX looks like emerging the "SUV-coupe" segment. It sports with a 3.6-liter SIDI E85 FlexFuel engine which sends power to all four wheels via a six-speed auto transmission which teamed with the 4WD system. The HX packed a removal roof panels and modular rear can open or be stowed, while the interior instruments can be reconfigured depending on the type of driving you'll be doing. Toyota 2000 SR Concept

Is this the car that could replace the Toyota MR2? It's a two-seater coupe called the 2000 SR. The Toyota 2000 SR concept created by Spanish studio SURE Design is a modern day incarnation of the Toyota 2000 GT supercar from 1967. Proposed power for the Toyota 2000 SR comes from a mid-front mounted, bio-fueled, turbocharged, 3.5-liter V6 engine which develops 610 horsepower sending its power to the rear wheels. At the front of the 2000 SR an electric motor provides power to the front wheels. This is capable of driving the front wheels independently where the power of the V6 is unnecessary. The Toyota 2000 SR concept is purely a styling exercise by PURE Design, and a production run is unplanned.

Nissan Round Box Concept

Nissan Round Box Concept, named "Round Box" might be oxymoronic. through its uniquely shared experience of fresh air stimulation, a sensation of speed and easy-to-use high-spec features. Among the more unusual touches: seats with a bench-style lower half and a bucket-style upper half. This setup is said to encourage conversation among passengers. Inside the Nissan Round Box the passengers are able to share entertainment and driving information through an interactive "Play Catch" system developed by Nissan. The exterior features a three-section removable roof panel and "road surface" windows or small glass panels placed close to the ground that give passengers a "view of the rapidly passing road surface."

Fisker Hybrid Sedan

The Fisker's founder - Henrik Fisker designed the Aston Martin DB9 and BM8. They cooperate with Quantum Fuel Systems technologies will product the Fisker Hybrid Sedan($80K;4Q 2009). It sported an electric motor which will be paired with either a gasoline or diesel engine. The Hybrid Sedan is expected to get 100 miles on a gallon and a top range of 620 miles on single tank and it may use the lithiumion batteris. The Fisker hopes to sell 15,00 vechicles at $80,000 to $100,000. It goes on sale in late 2009.

Nissan NV200 Concept

Nissan bring us the mobile office concept car - NV200 Concept from the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. The NV200 concept features substantial and rugged-looking exterior with a traditional box-like storage space in the rear. The customizable cargo area houses a unique pod that can smartly accommodate a variety of business needs. The pod is divided into customizable trays and boxes for efficient storage of profession-specific equipment, materials, work gear and apparel. The displayed NV200 has been outfitted specifically for use by a professional ocean photographer. The work area is equipped with a remote control panel for a spider camera, as well as equipment for organizing and editing photographs and images while on assignment.

Suzuki X-HEAD Concept

The Suzuki X-HEAD Concept, it is a new concept vehicles the Suzuki will be showing off at next month's Tokyo Motor Show. It likes a mini HUMMER. The naming, "X-HEAD" adjusting to the life style and sense of value of the person who rides, the "X" in its name signifies the unknown - as in unknown or unlimited number of uses. Mercedes-Benz F700 Concept

Mercedes-Benz debut its new F700 Concept($TBA) at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show. It's depicted as a future luxurious touring sedan with good performance and exceptionally low fuel consumption. It features a four-cylinder with a displacement of only 1.8 liters, combines the strong points of the low-emission gasoline engine with the consumption benefits of the diesel drive. It also CO2 emissions of a mere 127 g per kilometer or about 44.3 mpg.

Citroen C-Cactus Concept

Citroën is unveiling C-Cactus at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show. The Citroen C-Cactus Concept is a attractive, open-tapped and green concept car. It both minimize the use of materials and the amount of fuel it needs to operate. It is featuresa panoramic glass roof, A/C and cruise control. It just weight 1,306 kg and featuring a hybrid HDi drivetrain, C-Cactus consumes 3.4 l/100 km for CO2 emissions of 78 g/km.
