| This is awesome as I have been in multiple situations when I need a screwdriver but simply do not have one because I am on a frequent business trip. I certainly cannot bring my Swiss Army knife on the flight can I. Tools of the travel trade have always been a fascination for me as they come in handy so much more then one could possibly understand until they are in a situation where it’s needed. I always carry my iPad and personal Laptop on my business trips even though that is extra weight but I do not care. I get to bring a little piece of home with me because I do. I have a film blog that would never get researched if I left those two tools at home. It was more so finding the resources to make the research operational that was a bit tricky but I figured it out. Because of the extensive research I require, which demands technology for my film blog hobby, which I will not let suffer while I travel frequently for work. I figured I needed to start doing some searching on how best to get the information while away so I could keep up on my passionate hobby. Due to my joy of writing and the topics, therein I required resources that would allow me the movie and TV options necessary to fulfill my needs. I began searching for a solution that would branch out into all the options needed to suit all the requirements and recently it has been obvious. It was a bit shocking that certain providers like Direct TV require an online rebate application to be submitted just to get their new customer promotion, which takes 6-8 weeks. In addition, there are no extras for the basic package if that is all I can afford. Meaning no free HD for life, or an upgrade to a DVR should I need one or premium movie channels once I am a customer as I found with Dish Network once a customer. This would not work due to the type of writing I do, which is all based off movies and the actors surrounding them. When I read the article in the Chicago Tribune on Oct 4th (link at the bottom of post) regarding a poor prior customer of theirs who moved and was forced to contact their PR department and the newspaper to get his cancellation fees waived for having no line of sight that pretty much settled it for me. Dish Network I found does not charge a cancellation fee to movers who have no line of sight at their new home. I also found out that with Dish Network I could get more programming and movie channels for far less money plus a free Sling Adapter, which fits me as I travel a lot, and need to bring my services with me. I ended up changing jobs and started working for Dish Network, still traveling a lot but understanding better how all this is possible. Now I am clear that whatever makes it easiest to work and enjoy my own hobby is what is necessary. http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2011-10-04/business/ct-biz-1004-problem-dagosto-20111004_1_directv-customer-directv-spokesman-robert-mercer-directv-contract |
