Tracy and her sister are awesome photographers and a pleasure to deal with. My daughter is in some of these photos that are posted, and we loved them. These photos are such great documentation of our baby girl's first few weeks of life. We get so many compliments on the photo and are so glad we got in contact with Tracy. Thanks Tracy!!!

That would be quite a calamity if the buttons broke on the picture 10 up from the bottom.
These pictures almost make you want a baby...and learn how to knit!
#27 Post by Shasta, on Fri Mar 20 2009 8:4 PM
I think these are creepy. Honestly. Look at them. FREAKY! Do you often put your child in a bowl and try and eat them or something? Do they sleep on wood slabs! And why are the naked? Do you want a naked picture of a 30 year old man laying in a brown bowl? FREAKY!
#28 Post by Crusty, on Fri Mar 20 2009 8:8 PM

#31 Post by sarah, on Fri Mar 20 2009 11:26 PM
I love the way the way the pictures show that babies can sleep just about anywhere.  Reminiscent of Geddes, but with a definite differentness as well.
#32 Post by Geo1, on Fri Mar 20 2009 11:34 PM
Why are they all sleeping ?  they look bored.

#36 Post by Moira, on Sat Mar 21 2009 7:45 AM
Wow, you can really tell the comments that come from immature little boys (ie Shasta Mc Twatty) that don't know the first thing about babies.

Newborn babies are most comfortable in the foetal position, which is why they are curled up like that. When they are snuggly wrapped up or in "pouches" as some of the pictures show, it reminds them of being back in the womb, which is why they are sleeping so soundly and are so comfortable.

Beautiful pics. Beautiful babies.
#37 Post by Scarlett, on Sat Mar 21 2009 2:12 PM
Wow--usually I don't like photos like this, but these are really interesting and (of course) adorable. ~~~ yours in Chaos, Scarlett

These babies look very happy to me. Some look like they're smiling. I wish I had had photos like these taken of my boys. The pic of the twins is just adorable. Better than Anne Geddes.

theres a thin line between cute & child pornography.

this post stands in that line
#46 Post by pat, on Sun Mar 22 2009 9:5 PM
I work at an adoption agency. These pics are delightful. Gonna ask my boss about getting some for the office!
#47 Post by FNTM, on Sun Mar 22 2009 9:7 PM
Personally I don't like these pics. I think babies are pretty ugly generally. But damn, NTM, get some glasses. There is nothing even remotely controversial here.
#48 Post by Jo, on Sun Mar 22 2009 10:40 PM
These are so gorgeous, the babies look so peaceful, well done!! These are great and tastefully well taken photos.

NTM - its only pornography in the eyes of the perverted & twisted minds, not to normal people... we all looked like this!
You can't tell which baby is a boy and which is a girl apart from the colours blue or pink
#49 Post by flora, on Sun Mar 22 2009 11:51 PM

Is it just me... or is it really impossible to tell the sex of these babies?

lol
#55 Post by Lori, on Mon Mar 23 2009 11:15 PM
These pictures are just lovely...the innocence and tranquility are palpable....having said that, where can I get the knit pattern for those little beans the babies were in...those just made the babies seem more snuggullie if at all possible.
#56 Post by hahaha, on Mon Mar 23 2009 11:50 PM
Is it just me, or does the first one look like it should be hanging off of a tree... like a baby cacoon... haha... creepy.

#61 Post by Phill, on Tue Mar 24 2009 9:36 AM
Amazing. Totally beautiful pictures, your composition is wonderful, I bet smile a lot!

Message to Post #60 by Jose:
Do you really think that Anne Geddes is the only person to take photographs of babies? Get a life and widen your mind you ill-informed waste of time.

Well Done Tracey, love your work.
#62 Post by guest, on Tue Mar 24 2009 10:33 AM
My goodness, you don't carry newborn babies on your shoulder like that and all the more lie on their stomachs with their arms crossed. They looked more abused than comfortable. I have 2 kids and I won't imagine allowing my kids to pose like that, it's very much like those people who go hospitals to take your newborn baby photos and they beat the baby so that she can open her eyes and that's not cute if you know what they do to your baby, you only see the end product but you don't know the process because you are in the ward and your baby is in the nursery. I won't pay money to do that to my baby.
#63 Post by Clinton, on Tue Mar 24 2009 2:33 PM
I have to admit after viewing the pictures my initial reaction was the same as post #62.

I have a 7 month old daughter and, although these pictures are cute looking, I am fully aware that these children will need to have been "forced" into those positions as they are by no means natural positions.

We had a natural photoshoot of her when she was 11 days and it would have taken a lot of effort to get her to "pose" like some of these shots!

I personally much prefer photos of my child in a position in which they naturally settle and are comfortable... but each to their own I suppose!

Babies are lazy pieces of shit
#69 Post by missanthropy, on Wed Mar 25 2009 3:54 AM
Hmm what do you think the children will care about more when they are full grown, the fact that they were uncomfortable for the few minutes it took to take these pictures... Or the fact that their parents went to the trouble to have these artistic and strikingly beautiful pictures taken of them that they will be able to reflect upon and enjoy for all the years to come.
I doubt these kids are scarred for life because of this photo shoot, and personally I wish my baby pictures looked like this!

#80 Post by Keesha, on Thu Mar 26 2009 1:9 PM
Those images are wonderful.

As a photographer let me tell you people like #62 are really showing their lack of education in small children. Newborn babies, which those are, are able to pose in many different positions and it causes them no pain or discomfort in anyway. Their bones have not hardened enough. I assure you if those babies were in pain, they would not be sleeping peacefully.

I suppose those who posted that the babies were "They looked more abused than comfortable" think that Anne Geddes work is also child abuse.

Shame on you! Have you ever seen a doctor test the hips of a newborn? Looks like it would hurt doesn't it? Too bad it causes them no pain what so ever.

Think perhaps of the positions a toddler or three year old can get in. I've personally seen a toddler put both feet behind their heads being silly. Now compare that to a 60 year old.

Same thing. Babies are able to do these poses easily, and I promise you could care less. The only person that does is the one who doesn't realize how comfortable they really are.

For shame that you judge without knowing!

Quoted "And why are the naked?"

Because they were born that way....

Quoted: "Do you want a naked picture of a 30 year old man laying in a brown bowl?"

Oh, nooooow I see the problem. You're jealous. But, no, we don't want to see you naked in a bowl. Stop hatin' on the cute babies.

#86 Post by Justtocomment, on Fri Mar 27 2009 10:41 AM
Babies are absolutely adorable..i cant imagine how we grow to become the scary violent senseless creatures when we all start from the same pool of innocence which these babies symbolize. They seem so peaceful and some of them seem to be in some deep meditation or something almost saying : Do Not Disturb.....well Tracy i hope u enjoyed your work with the most innocent and unblemished humans on Earth.  I wish i could be as carefree as them

#90 Post by melissa, on Sat Mar 28 2009 2:43 PM
These images are beautiful and inspiring. Awesome portraits for the families to cherish forever. I find it hysterical that anyone would comment negatively towards these.  It really just shows the stupidity some people can have.  If these babies have been horribly forced into seemingly impossible poses, why are they sleeping peacefully?  It takes a very special, patient and loving person to be a newborn photographer.  I know a gazillion newborn photographers (I am one myself).  The thought process during the entire session is to keep the baby as comfortable as possible.  Keep them warm, keep them snuggled, keep them fed, have mom hold them and nurture them.  The images you see are snapped quickly in between tons of loving and snuggling.  These poses are no where near close to hurting the baby.  Just ridiculous to think otherwise.  Sheesh.

Some of the people posting on here need to shut the hell up. #62- I'm a mother of one and have seen J curl up into some similar positions on his own. How the hell do you think they sat in the womb? Pretty sure they didn't come out with lawn chairs, now did they?

Beautiful work. I love the hats. These pictures are breathtaking.
#103 Post by photographer, on Mon Apr 13 2009 7:58 PM
To me...these look just like knock offs...or almost exact replicas...or copies...of Carrie Sandavals work (capturedbycarrie.com).  Aren't you supposed to come up with your own creativeness when you are a photographer...and not simply 'copy' someone else's work...who came up with it before you did?
