| No, $240 million to keep terrorists from being able to get a truck loaded with explosives down onto the dam and blow it up, wiping out the entire western half of the United States' (and possibly the eastern half as well) power grid along with it. Not to mention the catastrophic damage caused by the ensuing flood. That would cost hundreds of billions in damage, so $240 million isn't so bad really. Besides, it'll save quite a lot in security checkpoints that have been in place since 9/11 too. None of those things is cheap. |
