| The Ecosse's The Heretic($64,800) bike is man's vision of the ideal street bike. Donald Atchison, a mechanical engineer and road racer, was obsessed with creating a high-performance street bike and after months of prototypes and testings, he and a team of engineers developed The Heretic. The engineering team chose the name because it is a bike that fights conformity. |
The Heretic offers an array of options and trim levels (ranging in price from $49,800 to $140,000+), allowing customers to specify a machine with everything they need, and nothing they don't. The minimalist frame highlights (in chromoly, or titanium on the top-of-the-line model) the massive V-Twin engine (capacities from 1640cc to 1966cc are offered, some with machined-from-billet blocks, a la MotoGP prototypes), and the details are just as impressive, with nearly every component large and small designed and manufactured in-house using precision CNC-machining processes. |
