Phil Bridge, a product design student at Sheffeld Hallam University in the UK has designed and created a $30 bike. The bicycle made of sturdy, waterproof hexacomb cardboard (the chain, brakes, and tires are made of metal and rubber). The bike can support civilians weighing up to 168 pounds. The low cost of Bridge's design is intended to deter UK thieves, who steal a bike every 71 seconds.
