I always thought the disposable ones were bamboo, and bamboo is a grass that grows extremely fast;so I never felt bad about using them and throwing them away. Am I wrong?

Yeh, I thought the same before but unfortunately not. Most are just simple cheap wooden ones (or at least I know they are in China anyway) and in a lot of restaurants and especially street vendors they are only used once and then thrown away... Either way these look pretty cool to me
