SSC Ultimate Aero II, the new Ultimate Aero is powered by a 6.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8(with 1,350 horses), can reach a top speed of 275 mph. It aims to recapture the production car speed record that took away from Bugatti's Veyron. Its wheels are the world's first one-piece carbon-fiber units and tip the scale at just under 13 pounds. The car weighs about 2,600 pounds. There's carbon-fiber all over the Ultimate Aero II, with the exception of some aluminum bracing for added safety in the event of a crash. Shelby SuperCars expected to sell it next year for $970,000.

This is false. They tried to make this the fastest car. Then bugatti found out, and became upset with this. And knowing bugatti, they went back to the drawing board and added more power and made the veyron super sport. They are crazy. Both amazing cars

No timothy this was made after the veyron super sport. the super sport took the record away from the original SSC Ultimate Aero. So now shelby supercars has gone and made this one, the SSC Ultimate Aero 2. dur hur.

This car doesn't even exist as anything other than a computer model, how is it the world's fastest production car???

It dose'nt matter if its a computer generated pic, where do you think all car designs come from. They could have a concept car all ready made by now,i hope the ssc beats the bugati like it did already but bugati got all pisy.
