F*ck I'm sick of this sort of cr*p. Are we so bereft of creativity in this world that all we can do is take from what others have done? Seriously? This is the best this human being can do? Ooooh, look, another Star Wars-themed accessory. Yay. I mean just f*ck off to your cossplay wank and do nothing original with your life.

@Jo. Are you a f*cking teenager? What lame ass, a-typical 12 year old response was that? I know you are, what am I? My point was a simple one, create something unique, don't just always take from f*cking Star Wars, etc. It is old, boring and not creative! You 'could' create an amazing helmet but noooooo, it's f*cking R2D2.

@Jozko. No. EveryONE is lazy and no longer even tries to do anything new. BIG difference. People 'remix' because it is safe and easy. That is my problem with all of this.

@Paul My age doesn't really concern you, but if you must know, I'm 30 y-o. And *my* point is that if something bothers me all that much I don't BITCH about it on the internet, I do it differently. And if I'm tired of running into something that bothers me, I just ignore it. I don't waste my time BITCHING about it. I could, but I'm not goint to defend everything Star Wars related because it is beyond obvious how much a huge chunk of the world's population enjoy it. Think about something you're a really big fan of. Of course you'd like to see that theme explored in many different ways! Just don't diminish someone else's awesome work because you're "sick of this sort of cr*p".

@Paul You misspelled 'cosplay'(ok, troll mode off) And creating something based in previous works that you admire is a well-know way of showing respect and admiration... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homage

Hi, everyone! Thank you for all the great compliments on my helmet- it was a lot of fun to make and even more fun to see how many people are enjoying it! @Paul: I hear what you're saying, but I didn't make this to be "original". I made it because I wanted an R2D2 scooter helmet. Simple as that. That said, if you want to see "original" work, I encourage you to check out my award-winning original fine art at my website www.phillyartgirl.com

Wow, way to make a hum-drum ol' bike helmet look super cool and fashionable! Enjoy having Star Wars fans accost you in the street, begging to know where you got it and then being bitterly disappointed/impressed when you tell them you made it yourself.
