Peel microcars were built in Peel, Isle of Man in the 1960's by Peel Engineering. Two main models were produced in limited numbers: the two passenger Trident and one passenger P50. At just 54 inches in length, the P50 remains the world’s smallest production car.

There's a segment of Top Gear (series 10, episode 3) where Jeremy Clarkson drives one of these to work, and then drives it around inside the BBC building, goes to meetings, etc. It's here:
