The "World's First Bio-fuelled Flying Car" flew from London, England to Timbuktu in Mali, Africa. the news was highlighted on the LikeCool. Now the ParaJet SkyCar is available for pre-order. Previously, Parajet said test flights of the skycar might happen this September, with a possible release date of early 2010. Expected to start selling toward the end of next year for an estimated price of £50,000 ($81,700), now pre-order for refundable deposits of £10,000 ($16,338). Shipping in late 2010.
The vehicle is completely street legal and can accelerate to 62mph in just 4.2 seconds, has a top speed of 140mph. In the flying mode, the car takes to the skies from the field in under 200m at a required speed of 37mph and the flight mode can reach speeds of up to 100mph. |
