The monster chair is designed by designer Jason Goh, who is inspired by his grandma's scary fish ball monster story in his childhood. Jason would play with his food as a child (his favorite being fish balls). In order to deter him, his grandma said that if he kept playing the fish balls would turn into a big hairy monster and eat him up. The body of the chair is constructed similar to the Roly-Poly toy, where the user can rock the ball without rolling the entire chair over. With mood lighting inside, it's a perfect place to read a story or just hang out.
