| That's pretty cool...hugely inneficient with so much waste. He could do the same thing using sheets molded around a steel drum - they way they make musical drums. |

| Yes, you'd get dozens of lampshades out of that one piece by cutting it into veneers. They would look just like his but for one tiny joint which you'd put at the back anyway. A shade with giant carbon footprint despite giving the shavings to chickens. |

| How do you know his carbon foot print is that large? He may be harvesting and replanting trees on his own property. and if he's using the "waste" to heat and power his home, then it's basically carbon neutral. look up cork factories and you'll find that they are considered neutral because all of the dust and scraps are used for actually powering the factory, and they are constantly replace what they take. |
