A German toy and model company,Conrad has built a "climbing bike lock" that can lift your bike up a standard lamp post. Yes, It can climb up a post! The lock uses parts scavenged from a motorized sketeboard, in this video, you can see how they make it! Good idea!

A REAL DOPE ITEM!! Except I have no intention of carrying around what looks like a thirty pound metal crane just so I can have my bike secured. Great idea though.

besides there's good chance that using public appliances like that would be illegal, and that if by any chances it fall on someone head, you would be in deep shit
but fun idea nonetheless
