| Intel demonstrated a wireless technology at IDF. Intel's wireless power technology involves a setup of two metal arrays -- resembling the rings of a planet -- connected to a power amplifer. Even though this sort of technology isn't new, Intel has gotten the highest efficiency so far of 75% for transferring 60 watts over two feet. No worries for us: The technology's currently safe for humans. Bad news is not yet for our gadgets. It seems Intel is well on their way to developing this into something usable. |
