| Honda, this motor company, will demo an experimental model of a walking assist device which could support walking for the elderly and other people with weakened leg muscles. Using data obtained from hip angle sensors, the control CPU communicates to the flat brushless motors and provides the right amount of assistance to help those using the device lengthen their strides. "Applying cooperative control based on the information obtained from hip angle sensors, the motors provide optimal assistance based on a command from the control CPU." This walking assist device weighs 6.2lbs, one time charge can used at 4.5km/hour for 2 hours. | |
