The Gocycle Electric bike(Pre-order, $1,300), is lightweight (injection molded magnesium), weights only 16.3Kg. A 9Ah NiMH battery is stuffed into the cycle's body, which can do 6 to 20 miles with pedal input and 3.5 hours on battery power. And it is a foldable Gocycle comes with adjustable seat and handlebars. It is powered by 250 Watt motor and accompanied a controller that is USB programmable. The bike by London based Karbon Kintetics, now 200 prototypes have been produced with e-bike manufacturer Ideal Bike, and testing worldwide. You can also pre-order now until January 2009 for $1,300 on their website, or buy it afterwards for $1,700. |
