| It is definetely a Corvette, and with the speed in mind I would say it is a ZR1, probably modified if it really was 250mph. |

| Definitely a Corvette. By the body work it's a Z06 at the least, possibly a ZR1. Stop the vid at 0.3 sec and you can see the front end in the rear mirror of the passed car. The car is also probably doing about 180mph given the speed of the passed car, and doing a bunch of conversions (get James May to explain). |

| @james (not may): Driving fast may be dangerous in other countries, but in germany it's not that bad... People who drive on the german autobahn mostly know the game and keep the most important rule in their mind: if you can see another car in the mirror, estimate its speed because it could be doing 409 km/h, then switch lanes. Plus we learn to drive fast from the beginning, we have to take a couple of driving lessons on the autobahn and at night. I've never heard of a driving intructor who didn't at least once hit 180 km/h with his student... The fun really starts at 200 km/h @everyone else: Agree, it's a Corvette I'm guessing a Z06 I doubt he's really doing 400 km/h probably more like 320 km/h |

| Like many people said before: It probably between 250 and 300 km/h which is around 150-180 mp/h. And secondly calm down guys, yes it is legally possible on certain Autobahn strechtes in Germany. And since you find that any day it is not unsafe by default, but I would agree a little careless as it looks like. And for all your information: Usual travelling speed on a German Autobahn is around 130 km/h (80mp/h), usual fastest speed is normally up to 200 km/h (120 mp/h), only single cars drive as fast as 250 km/h. Anything faster is very unusual, but not forbidden on certain stretches if traffic allows it. |
