| I bought the previous version of the FlipSide wallet. I'm now sorry I did. The outer part of the wallet was a piece of nylon(?) fabric stretched on the outside. The edges of the fabric are not seamed or finished in any way. After only a few months of use, those edges started fraying. FlipSide says that the only thing that is covered under warranty are the hinge and locking mechanisms. They would not replace or even offer to fix the wallet. I spent $40.00 on this puppy ... and feel ripped off. They did offer a whopping $5.00 credit towards another $40.00 wallet (+ shipping). Gee thanks! When a company does not stand behind a product 100% ... what does that say about the product, and the company? I'll never buy another wallet from them! |

| I have owned every generation of the FlipSide Wallet series. I also had the FlipSide 3, which you are referring to. I have put it through the test and while the fabric did stretch a little, I never had a problem with it breaking. I would say hard wallets are not for everyone and if you overload the FS3 then you could have issues as with any wallet. You should try the FlipSide 2X with the hard shell, its practically bullet proof. If you join the mailing list they run deals for $5 to 10 off which with your $5 credit & free shipping could save you $20.00. I get complement every time I open my wallet. I am sorry your experience was not the same, but a hard shell wallet with RFID shielding is where its at. Good luck! |
