| This is not a good idea. Anything that can be viewed as a count-down to the green light only encourages drivers to be ready to jump the gun. |

| I disagree on that. In the Netherlands we have this type of trafficlights to and it makes the waiting more acceptable. The only thing that sometimes can be a problem is people staring at the light and focusing on that instead of keeping an eye on the traffic around them. |

| Here in Brazil there is a city called Passo Fundo that uses this stoplight. I guess this idea wonderful, i would like to have this stoplight in São Paulo too... |

| I live in Anápolis-GO, Brazil. We have a lot of stoplights with countdown timers. I like it cuz it makes the green time more efficient. Some drivers wait till the green light is on so they clutch the first gear and then start moving, with these stoplights, they already clutch when its almost green. |
