| If you think of the private yachts can not get ecofriendly. Island Pilot has debuted its new DSe Hybrid Yacht($600,000; Pre-orders). This 40-ft yacht combines the benefits of solar, electric and diesel power. It can cruise at up to six knots on a sunny day for an indefinite period of time without any fuel and zero emissions. In diesel mode, its Parallel Hybrid Propulsion system can move at up to 13 knots. The DSe 12m will also be equipped with a pair of omni-directional, 1.5 kW wind turbines that will produce energy whenever the wind is in excess of 8 knots. It also comes with some modern amenities, includes Garmin HD radar, Fly by Wire controls, gyroscope, autopilot mode, 4 zones of air conditioning, ice maker, refrigeration, and a 26-inch HDTV... |
