2011, CITIZEN introduces “Eco-Drive SATELLITE WAVE" watch, which searches for the closest of the 24 navigation satellites that keeping the day, date and time is accurate. And it also powered by light. Cool!
"This next-generation timepiece searches for the closest of the 24 navigation satellites that orbit the earth.
It captures the day, date and time signals the satellite emits from space, 20,000 kilometers above the earth.
Since the satellite signals are controlled by atomic clocks, this watch’s timekeeping is ultra precise.
Each of the 24 navigation satellites orbits the earth once every twelve hours, so that this watch receives the signals from any open space, even in the boundless Western Pacific or atop the world’s highest peak. "

-Perpetual Calendar
-World Time in 26 Cities

In 8/2009 I suggested Mr. Tsuneo Nagai (Pres. of Citizen) to develop a watch with GPS-Signal-Management. Only a short letter came back... Now its real. Great!! I had the idea when travelling Africa without Long-Wave-time-Signal reaching my Radio-controlled clock. In the future everybody all over the world uses the GPS-Time: scientists, soldiers, travellers etc.
I try to get one of the watches. I had no patents, have other things to do as a doctor. :-)
