Is the resin food safe?

Hundro has a point. While the FDA has seen fit to grand silicon oil protected status as a food grade pan release for the baking industry [What you thought Girl Scout cookies made by rednecks in KY were GOOD FOR YOU?] I do not think they have approved any cured epoxy resin as food safe. Cool idea but really you should take a clue from custom Japanese makers you wrap food safe metal around the wood or bamboo then hand engrave them. I've seen some real silver metal ones that are awesome. Considering silver or silver plate and bamboo both have natural antibiotic properties and are rated food safe you get something very beautiful, traditional and functional.

It is coated with a foodsafe coating designed for glass that gets baked on. We can do this because our carbon fiber can withstand extreme tempuratures. find all the info on these on our site www.CarbonFiberChopsticks.com.
