Right on Albert, these people are just mainstream. They think its cool to hate personal achievement. Yet they all strive for it.

I want to make sure I'm not reading this wrong. Is the implication that capitalism does all of the above-mentioned things? If so, it's roughly 180° off from the truth. Actual capitalism does not do those things (statism does). Rather than be negative, I'll put a positive spin on this, there's a massive opportunity for education here. ;-)

The world produces enough food for everyone, yet one in seven people around the planet go to bed hungry every night. Some 80% of the world’s hungry people are directly involved in food production – mainly small-scale agricultural producers in developing countries (most of them women). - Oxfam Yep that seems like this picture right here ... the rich get richer and the poor get poorer..
#11 Post by Marc, on Thu Jun 2 2011 1:45 PM
80% are hungry due to evil dictators, not capitalism.
#12 Post by Phil, on Thu Jun 2 2011 4:25 PM
Dictatorships supported by capitalist Countries that is Marc.

Replace the figure legend "CAPITALISM" with "STATISM" to make it more accurate as it applies to state socialism as well but not to anarcho-capitalism.

I'm sure the "artist" is part of the We Eat for You crowd. Try working for a living or joining the we kill you crowd before trying to make some inane political statement.

Capitalism is simply savings being invested in creating goods and services that people want and/or need. Everything bad that is associated with the word is due to government intervention in what would othewise be freely associating people. What this image represents is fascism. Educate yourself.

It seems rather funny that this site (that I love btw) features lots of things created from the process of striving to create profit. The profit motive has created nearly all of the cool things shown on this blog! Capitalism isn't perfect but it is better overall than other system which involve force (socialism, nazism.)

Hmmm.... maybe a few decades (or even centuries) out of date on the religious end. Religion barely holds it's ground in most places in the west, and has been losing ground socially for decades. And if one is really detailing capitalism then the clergy are probably more toward the bottom. The average median income of a protestant clergy person with a graduate degree is $40,000. Perhaps one aught to replace them with lawyers and the caption "we sue you"

most of the people here have no freaking idea they talk about. yet the comments I loved the most because they were the cutest were #18 and #19. @David. Design has nothing to do with profit. In fact, if you look closely, many of the design shown at likecool.com are, first of all, for personal satisfaction and second, in the case of the designs that are not concepts, could be really difficult to produce precisely because they are not conceived by a huge corporation. @rusyoak. I don't know where you live but here in the US, questionably one of the most advanced countries, religion has hardly lost ground because more than 80% are Christian and about 68% don't believe in evolution. That's religion working full speed right there. your comparison on clergy is also weak. the fact that Donald Trump doesn't make as much money as Bill Gates or Carlos Slim does not mean that he is inoffensive. The Christian church is one of the richest institutions on Earth and they make use of their money in all denominations. No matter which denomination you believe, as long as it is Christian they are good. No matter what government system you got, as long as the power is vertical and the concept of money exists, they'll all go for profit and to put some at disadvantage. None are less evil or more fair. However, you could argument that some are more successful than other at stealing resources.
