| It wouldn't work! If the bike were in motion, the wheels would be rubbing against the frame of the bike opposite the "gears". There's too much friction to pedal efficiently. The "gears" belong directly above the ground, opposite where the tire touches the ground. Adding a front fork with "gear" attached at the end, and extending the rear arm will achieve it. |

| Looks very cool. And, though "Sticky" displays some awesome analytical powers and savvy engineering sense, I think it could work. What are the prospects, realistically? What material would work for the wheels? (If they could deform in a controlled way, you've got a built-in, invisible suspension.) Maybe you could make the tire wider, and the rim deeper, to have the section of a T-beam or an I-beam, to make the wheels happen. I will send you all the development money you need, as soon as it falls out of the sky and lands in my lap. |
