A MacBook Selfie Stick

This is the MacBook selfie stick, a two-handed selfie stick for MacBooks created by artists Moises, John Yuyi and Tom Galle. They aren't actually selling the device. The website for the contraption shows artists using the MacBook Selfie Stick around New York City, including in Times Square and Washington Square Park. The stick itself looks much larger than any standard selfie stick, most likely to make up for the 2-pound Apple laptop. It looks like you need to hold it with two hands, though, removing the convenience of a selfie stick to begin with. Plus, there’s no confirmation that it even takes pictures there’s no confirmation that it even takes pictures. Artistically, what does it mean? Of course, it's a blatant attack on society’s obsession with self and vanity. Using a larger piece of technology is absurdist, bringing attention to the selfie sticks that we have gotten used to. These artists intentionally make themselves stick out by looking absolutely ridiculous.
