| Yes BUT: For the most part it was NOT AT&T who brought you the technology. Phone booth, forget a video phone booth, you cant even find a working AT&T/Bellsouth phone both in this city. Video phones, no - we have internet video but not video phones. Tolls and stuff, that was already implemented in Europe at that time, AT&T just bet we would copy. Sending a fax from the beach, ha, pad forecasting, no one uses fax from their PC, they send an email. As a technologist (that's what my business card said I did) I hated the adds when they were running because it was all promises of technology they were unable to deliver and which quite clearly, when the technology was going to come it was not going to come from AT&T. |
